In terms of upland training, Gus has successfully completed his bird and gun introduction, as well as his collar foundation. What is a collar foundation? In a nutshell, Gus is ready to hunt. He is steady on his point and holds to the flush. With more training he could be a finished dog. What's next for Gus in terms of training? He needs to commit to holding point to the shot, or to the preference of the new owner, and have the flank collar transitioned to the neck.

Gus hunts at a moderate pace. He has a strong, yet affectionate disposition. He would make an excellent hunting/family companion. He is kennel broke.

Price: $2,500.00*

*Note: starting September 1, 2008, Gus's wild bird exposure will begin and further training will be applied. As further training is added the cost of Gus will increase.

Meet Stetson (SOLD). Stetson is a white and black, patched and ticked, male, field bred German shorthaired pointer. He was born on July 3, 2007. This pup was sired by Smokys KBS Pal. The dam is Izzy Grey. Both are pleasure hunting bird dogs owned by Keith Birnschein of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
