Please note: Fly-n-Gun Kennels, although well knowledged, is not a breeding facility and rather devotes most of its efforts to offering exemplary training, boarding, and championship titling services. However, on occasion we do have started pups/dogs available.
Meet Billy (SOLD). Billy is a beautiful AKC registered white and liver, ticked, male, field bred German shorthaired pointer out of South Dakota blood lines. He is one year of age.
In terms of upland training, Billy has successfully completed his bird and gun introduction, as well as his collar foundation. What is a collar foundation? In a nutshell, Billy is ready to hunt. He is steady on his point and holds to the flush. With more training he could be a finished dog. What's next for Billy in terms of training? He needs to commit to holding point to the shot, or to the preference of the new owner, and have the flank collar transitioned to the neck.
Billy hunts at a moderate pace. He has a strong, yet affectionate and playful disposition. He would make an excellent hunting/family companion. He is kennel broke.

*Note: starting September 1, 2009, Billy's wild bird exposure will begin and further training will be applied. As further training is added the cost of Billy will increase.
