FIELD CHALLENGE DIVISIONS

What divisions are offered? Remember, the Top Gun Championships is comprised solely of the top gun singles where one competitor and one dog competes against other entries to harvest chukar partridge.
Within the top gun singles, we offer various divisions. We do so with the hopes of meeting the needs of you and your dog. The divisions are described as follows.
- The Main Event flusher/pointer is the heart of this event and is considered to be a division for those who wish to seek championship points for their dogs.
- A main event entry consists of two runs (one on Friday, one on Saturday) and the Top 12 Showdown on Sunday, if your team should qualify. Cost per entry is $300.00. A $25.00 optional pool will be available.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 4 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for incredible cash prizes and trophies.
- The top 4 in this division will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting.
- The top 4 of this event will receive an invite to the NBDCA National Championships.
- DEFINITION CHANGE IN 2008. The Amateur flusher/pointer division is geared for competitors that are new to tournament hunting. An amateur competitor must have 80 or less BDC championship points.
- An amateur entry consists of two runs (one on Friday, one on Saturday). Cost per entry is $200.00.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 4 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for prizes and trophies.
- The top 3 in this division will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting.
- The top 3 of this event will receive an invite to the NBDCA National Championships.
- The Ladies flusher/pointer division.
- A ladies entry consists of one run on Sunday. Cost per entry is $100.00. A $25.00 optional pool will be available.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 2 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for prizes and trophies.
- The top 3 in this division will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting.
- NEW IN 2008. The Limited Amateur flusher/pointer division is geared for competitors and dogs that are new to tournament hunting. An amateur competitor and amateur dog must have 80 or less BDC championship points.
- A limited amateur entry consists of one run on Sunday. Cost per entry is $100.00.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 2 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for prizes and trophies.
- The Master flusher/pointer division is a challenge offered to those hunters that are age 50 or over the age of 50.
- A master entry consists of two runs (one on Friday, one on Saturday). Cost per entry is $275.00. A $25.00 optional pool will be available.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 4 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for cash prizes and trophies.
- The top 3 in this division will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting.
- The Puppy flusher/pointer division is for dogs that are two years and younger as of the first of the year.
- A puppy entry consists of two runs (one on Friday, one on Saturday). Cost per entry is $275.00. A $25.00 optional pool will be available.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 4 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for cash prizes and trophies.
- The top 3 in this division will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting.
- The Youth division is for those age 18 and under with a valid hunter's safety certification.
- A youth entry consists of one run on Sunday. Cost per entry is $100.00.
- A competitor may enter up to 4 times with 2 different dogs.
- A dog may enter up to 2 times with 2 different competitors.
- Teams compete for prizes and trophies.
- The top 3 in this division will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting.
